Our now 8 month old puppy, Happy, from your Oct 5th, 2014 litter is now 65 lbs, and looks very much like his mother in coat coloring and smart personality. He is now of equal size to 2 full grown Golden Retrievers he plays with and continues to grow. We LOVE our HAPPY!!! He is a joy, a mischievous clown, and a very loving family companion—all rolled into one. He HAS to be where he has line-of-sight visual with either Ellen or me. We still haven’t got him convinced that door bell sounds from the TV are not the house door bell sounds–and he will still run to the door to bark and let us know that someone is at the door. He thinks we are nuts when we tell him the sound was from the TV. He is not thrilled when the outside lawn sprinkler system come on and he gets wet. We get dirty looks when that happens. The other 99% of the time, he fits his name to a TEE…HAPPY! He is very good and gentle/careful with small children. Almost no one has ever heard of the Hovawart breed. I have told many people about your website, so that they could get some information–and to see Happy when he was a little puppy. All the very BEST WISHES!

He sounds just like his father and mother, all rolled into one! Thanks so much! My favorite memories are of Happy being soooo Un Happy when he had to go outside on a cold, snowy day… he would pee, and then run to the stairs and just wait for me to bring him in while all his siblings just loved the snow. He was destined to be with you in the Florida Sun!

Hrmm that was weird, my comment got eaten. Anyway I desired to say that it#;&2178s nice to understand that someone else also mentioned this as I had trouble finding precisely the same info elsewhere. This was the very first place that told me the answer. Thanks.
